Where to Find Copywriting Jobs

There are several ways you can find copywriting jobs and get new clients. Here are some of my favorites:

  • look in the phone book and contact local businesses
  • join your local chamber of commerce
  • browse through the listings at Craigslist
  • visit writersrow.com and look at Deb's Freelance Writing Jobs blog
  • Post bids on sites like ifreelance.com, rentacoder.com, and guru.com
  • Get an agent - there are some agencies that find the jobs and distribute them to writers
  • Hand everyone you know a business card saying what you do
  • Go to trade shows and pitch your services. If you have a niche, go to the trade shows that attracts companies that are part of your niche.

Pick two or three of these and work on them every day. Before long you will have a solid business.
