Managing deadlines

As a writer, one of the things I've found is that it can be a challenge learning how to manage my deadlines. I just started a new system where I have a spreadsheet that lists the projects and when they are due. I have a new one for each month. I have a few projects that are ongoing and unless I put the information down somewhere, I am in danger of forgetting. This system prevents me from missing a deadline.
